Subject:Â Â St. Louis City-Wide Watermain ProjectÂ
Dear Resident,
On Monday, May 11 and Tuesday, May 12, crews will be paving Delaware Street and completing HMA (Hot Mix Asphalt) driveway work on your property. Because we are paving your driveway apron, you must have your vehicles out of your driveway and moved to a side street by 7 AM on Monday. Please note that fresh HMA pavement requires significant time to cool and cure. You will not be able to drive over the new asphalt street or to enter and exit your property until 1 day after completion. Thank you for your cooperation.
If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (989) 772-2765.
Best Regards,

Malley Construction, Inc. is scheduled to begin asphalt paving (weather permitting) on Berea Street, Tuesday, May 12th or May 13th at 7:00AM. This work should take the day to complete (weather permitting). The new asphalt will not be cured enough to drive on immediately after paving has been completed. If you will need to use your vehicle(s) the days we are paving, please have them parked on a side street or on the morning of paving, please make sure you are out of your driveway before 7:00 AM. The asphalt paving will be a (3) step process. First, the base course of asphalt will be installed (including drive approaches) and should take one day to complete. Second, The Manhole castings and valve boxes have to be raised to finished elevation. The third and final step will be paving the top course of (including drive approaches) which should take one day. We ask that you temporarily park on a side street, until the asphalt paving has been completed and it has cured enough for vehicular traffic. Typically, a day after paving has been completed the asphalt surface can be driven on, provided the weather’s high temperatures are not too excessive (over 90 degrees).
Malley Construction thanks you in advance for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at your convenience.
