The City Clerk is appointed by the City Council and reports to the City Manager.
Duties include serving as Clerk for the City Council, assisting the City Manager and other City Department Heads, attending all meetings of the City Council, keeping a permanent journal of its proceedings and keeping a record of all ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City Council.
The clerk also administers all Elections and performs numerous other duties as required by State and local laws.

St. Louis consists of one precinct. Polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.
Absent Voter Information
If you would like to be placed on the permanent absent voter list, please contact the City Clerk. Absent Ballots are not sent automatically; however, members on the permanent absent voter list will be sent an application for a ballot that must be returned prior to each election you wish to participate in.
For those not on the permanent list, Absent Ballot Applications are usually made available 6 weeks prior to an election.
