The 4th of July has been an important holiday in St. Louis for much of its history. While St. Louis traditionally celebrates Independence Day on the first Saturday of July, in 2023 the date for the celebration will be Saturday July 15th in order to ensure the availability of fireworks and crew.

The City of St. Louis and the Gratiot Area Chamber/St. Louis Middle of the Mitten Association sponsor the fireworks each year.

Fireworks start at 10:00 p.m.
