The City of St. Louis is seeking candidates for the position of Water/Wastewater Superintendent. Duties will include planning and directing the operations, maintenance and repair of the City’s Wastewater facilities and Water distribution system, including the water storage towers. This position is expected to split responsibilities between the Wastewater and Water operations as well as oversite of the Municipal Pool and assigned duties at the City’s Cemetery. Candidate should possess or be capable of obtaining a Michigan DEQ Class B certification for the operation of wastewater treatment plants and a Michigan DEQ S-2 and D-2 Operators certifications for water systems. An associate degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental sciences or related field is preferred. General knowledge of Wastewater and Water system operations, construction, repair and maintenance is desired. Supervisory experience in wastewater and water distribution systems is required.
