The 4th of July has been an important holiday in St. Louis for much of its history. St. Louis celebrates Independence Day every year on the first Saturday of July with the most extensive fireworks display in the area.
In addition, the St. Louis Blues Festival is in full swing that afternoon and other events are being planned for 2013. This year’s celebration will be held on Saturday, July 6 with the Blues Festival running Friday and Saturday, July 5 & 6. More information can be obtained by calling City Hall at (989) 681-3017.
